Infrastructure

 

Infrastructure is a pre-requisite for any organization, which provides the underlying foundation for facilitating essential services, for overall development of a student- sportingly, aesthetically & enthusiastically.

Technologies are fundamental in preparing our students for the world and serve as vehicles for learning. Infrastructure certainly permits us to use the fast emerging technologies so that our students can achieve a ‘comfort level’ in using the same in their daily lives.

RDPS, Rohini is actively involved in laying a strong foundation for young learners in the age group of 3 to 13 years to become active participants in life-long learning & earning by integrating both national and international dimension in the curriculum supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Students, teachers and administrators have access to the vast array of resources and such rich facilities which enhance key skill areas and provide holistic development to each and every child under the "ACT Approach" @ RDPS.

 

a. Creative (Fine Arts)

 

       

 

Student’s creativity whether it is Dance (Classical & Folk), Music (Vocal & Instrumental), Painting & Craft is harnessed with complete paraphernalia dedicated to a Fine Arts department. Arts contribute to the development and enhancement of multiple neurobiological systems, which can be driving forces behind all other learning. It enhances student’s creativity, perceptual and cognitive skills; promotes self-esteem, motivation and cultural exposure; improves emotional expression and appreciation of diversity.

b. Information-processing (Library)

Student Library is an information center which is well equipped and is endowed with open access system. A special corner is allocated to the teachers for study and preparation. It is an invaluable resource of 6,000 books in English and Hindi, of Foreign and Indian Authors and also 10 standard Magazines, Periodicals and Dailies at present.

 

 

c. Integrated Science Lab:

The lab also provides practical knowledge to the students which further increase the understanding level by self-performance.

d. Physical Development (Sports)

Following the dictum that ‘A sound mind lives in a sound body’ and believing in the fact that training in games and sports tends to give perception, judgment, courage and skill to students, makes them composed and decisive and inculcates amongst the students the qualities of a true sportsman, school provides first grade facilities for games and sports like Kho-Kho, Badminton, Table Tennis, Throw Ball, Volley Ball and all Indoor Games.

       

 

e. Information and Communication Technology

Optimum and effective utilization of ICT resources is ensured keeping in mind the varied needs of the learners through proper set up of Computer Aided Teaching (CAT), Computer Aided Learning (CAL) & Computer Aided Assessment (CAA).

    Computer Aided Teaching (CAT) resources facilitate teachers in making teaching-learning an enriching and effective process. These include,

    1. e-Classroom: An e-room fitted with networked computer,   interactive board, and multimedia projector to display computer based information at the touch of the screen, are available to support teaching-learning process.

     

          

    Computer Aided Learning (CAL) resources play the role of reinforcing the concepts learnt in classrooms or prompting learning at one’s own pace using variety of learning packages.

     

    2. IT Lab: It consists of 21-networked computers, DVD writer and scanner etc. The purpose of this lab is to:

      facilitate collection, assimilation and presentation of information e-resources.
      support teachers to prepare customized teaching & learning aids.

      3. School Website: The school marked its imprint on global digital network - INTERNET in year 2007 with the name of the website www.rdpsrohini.com

    f. Health & Welfare Service

    The School has well-facilitated medical room.

     

     

    g. Transport

    The School has a proper network of this facility. Presently, the school has its own bus.
